Company History
June 1993 – Rick Chowdry starts Intech Mechanical as a side business.
1995 – Rick takes the business to the next level and begins bidding projects full time. Chris Mitchell joins the team for estimating, project management, purchasing and field installation, while Julie Chowdry took on administrative management. Growth prompts a move to a (1,250 sq. ft.) North Highlands facility (seemingly enormous then).
1996 – Projects such as the Federal Building on Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA expands Intech to a crew of fifteen.
1998 – The North Highlands facility has become inadequate which leads to the purchase of a new headquarters in Roseville, CA.
2000 – Business continues to grow and Mike Friesen is brought on board as Senior Project Manager. The workforce now has forty plumbers and pipe fitters in the field and Intech Mechanical is becoming a company to watch.
2002 – Intech Mechanical establishes a new division: Full Service HVAC.
2003 – Intech Mechanical signs labor agreements with both Plumbers & Pipefitters Union and Sheetmetal Workers Union.
2007 – A new department providing full service HVAC and Maintenance is added.
2015 – Intech Mechanical purchases a new corporate headquarters in Roseville, CA. The new location offers a 35,000 sq. ft. facility that houses product inventory and welding/duct capabilities.
2016 – Intech Mechanical establishes a full service control division.
2020 – Intech Mechanical expands its operations to include the Reno Nevada Market .
